The service and location are great. The front desk staff were super nice. Beds were comfortable and nicely kept up. However, be it the age or construction of the hotel, you can hear absolutely everything your neighbors do in the rooms. Even simple walking above or below creates loud creaking, toilets flushing, talking, etc. If you can sleep with earplugs it shouldn't be a problem. But if you're a light sleeper snowflake like me, consider different options.

Hard to complain about this place. You have to consider that almost everything is more expensive in this part of the country. They do have complimentary bus service to different parts of the community, but hotels, restaurants, groceries, etc. are not cheap. This is the primary reason we chose this hotel - good reviews for the price. We were there during the off season (September), hence, the hotel was not nearly full. I would guess mostly empty, so the 'noise' issue some complain about may or may not be true. It is an older hotel, but it is VERY WELL MAINTAINED. They still use the old fashioned keys. The complimentary breakfast did have waffles, but no eggs. The people working there would go the extra mile to answer questions and are friendly. The room was in very good condition - the beds were very comfortable. The TV had two remotes - took a while to get used to, but really not there to watch TV, right? The manager (in my pictures) was there to greet us when we arrived. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

Wonderful place to stay while in the Aspen area. We were visiting Maroon Bells to hike one afternoon and then to watch the sunrise the next morning. Perfect location! The grounds area was beautiful and well-maintained. Room was spacious and clean. Helpful, wonderful staff!! Very helpful staff when I first booked this room many months earlier! Thank you!

We only got to spend one night at Pokolodi Lodge and didn't want to leave! It was the only affordable lodging near Aspen in Snowmass Village for us to visit Maroon Bells. The hotel was super clean and in great condition. I loved the mountain decor and bedding. The rooms were very comfortable last week in July even though there was No A/C. The box fan provided was fine for a breeze and white noise and you can open the window. It was very quiet and we slept great! Decent free continental breakfast. I did laundry in the morning ($2 ea wash/dry) and sat by the pool and enjoyed the views and peace. We had a nice stroll around the mall area and rode the lift down to the village and bought gondola tickets for Snowmass and Aspen Mtns. We loved the location and our stay, and we can't wait to return.

Hotel has a great location, super close walking distance to shopping mall, bus/shuttle stations, mountain, restaurants, hiking trails, etc. General manager and staff were professional, welcoming, and answered all our questions to help us plan our 5-day stay at Pokolodi Lodge. Gave us helpful suggestions on fun things to do in Snowmass Village, Aspen, and Maroon Bells hiking area. Free breakfast (7-9am) and coffee and hot chocolate all day long. No elevator, but steps and railing were manageable to pull your luggage safely. No A/C but two powerful fans (ceiling & tower fan) and nice mountain breeze led to restful sleep. Clean rooms with mountain lodge decor. We loved our stay and will return in both the winter and early summer!!

The customer service at night was great. Online prices for the lodge were a lot less expensive than what the front desk clerk stated, but he was very patient and reasonable with us. There isn't much to be said about this hotel. Aspen hotels are very overpriced for the bare minimum they provide.
The room has no A/C, only a fan and cracked windows for ventilation. The rooms are outdated with outdated furniture, and the carpet gives off a scent. We skipped breakfast because I had altitude sickness that morning, but it's great that they offer it. Most hotels serve breakfast until 9 a.m., so it's reasonable that they had a similar timeframe as well. The parking for the hotel was across the street in a big lot, but luckily, they have 4 car spaces, so you can do a 15-minute check-in and not have to walk across so many times. People don't drive the speed limit on that road, but hopefully, they can add road bumps later on to allow hikers and pedestrians a safe crosswalk.

Great place to stay. Easy check in, clean rooms, beautiful view. Quick 20 mins drive to Aspen highlands to take a shuttle to maroon bells.
