I love the lake, any lake for that matter! Victoria campground is a fantastic location for lake lovers! The views from lakeside campsites are fantastic with ample space for large RVs. There are some downsides if you're like most folks. But like all ideal locations, it's not a bad idea to put some limitations in place. Don't plan on having big gatherings, and the grass, which you had better not park on, needs to be cut more frequently. Fishing could be better, but I guess that's why they call it fishing. Will I go again, absolutely, if invited. Make your reservations early! It is tough to get access due to its popularity. BTW, staff at this location are wonderful, very good people!

We have stayed at many state parks between Georgia and Wyoming.
Victoria Landing Campground is sadly worst state park camping experience we've had.
From the time we arrived to check in, the host was very unfriendly, we didn't get a welcome. The only words they said were to turn left and then turn at your 2nd right to get to our site.
The site was OK. Much of the edges of the asphalt page were breaking off. But aside from that, we were very happy with the site.
Upon leaving, I stopped at the dump station to do the dirty business. The bath house is nearby so I thought I would wash my hands before returning the the truck. The bath house was not well kept. No soap to wash hands, dirty sink with that appeared to be someone had clipped their beard and not bothered to cleanup.
I proceeded to checkout and the host held a net out of the office window for me to drop the parking pass into.
I thanked him and he didn't even acknowledge it.
My adult kids came to visit us on Saturday since they don't live far away. I advised the host they would be coming. When they arrived, they checked in and found their way to our site
The first thing they said when they got out of their car wad how unfriendly the hosts were.
My wife and I often talk about being campground hosts when we retire.
Some people just don't have the personality to be a host. If you aren't a friendly and welcoming person, you should do something else.

We are having a great time here. Clean bathhouses lots of deer just walking up to your campsite. Good beach and water
And the hosts(I don’t have their names right now but I will find out) are awesome. The lady told me about the Senior Lifetime card that gets us 50% off! No one has ever told us this! I got the lifetime for 80.00 and it paid for itself in this visit. They are so accommodating. We had reservations til Thursday and wanted to stay til Sunday so she found us a site for the extra time. We will be back

Campground was beautiful and people were very nice. We booked campsite 22 and this was our first time at this campground. We were very excited to spend our weekend by the lake. But we could only stay for 3 hours! Just after the sunset, our campsite was crawling with cockroaches! Not just one or two or 5 or 10! It was impossible to stay and we left immediately even we booked for 2 nights. We have a very good experience with camping and stayed other campgrounds around lake Allatoona and other lakes. Never experienced something like this!

Restrooms weren’t great, dock was out of service and you can’t pitch a tent on the grass. Also, the people are a mixed bag of terrifying (one group threatened the kids), and friendly. The lake is beautiful and it’s an easy drive from ATL.

Bathhouse was way to hot and not very clean. Could use some sprucing up. The campground sites were big and spaced a nice distance apart. Saw some deer, beautiful sunset over the lake. Nice place to fish, paddle or just enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely come back if I am in the area.

What a lovely campground to stay and enjoy the nature of beautiful tall trees and a lake you can swim and fish in. My daughter loved the playground and the beach as well. I recommend this place if you're looking to have a clean and very spacious campsite. We had a few fires in the fire ring available and enjoyed our 5 day stay.

Note: park closes gate nightly at 10:30pm so you can't go out so make sure you have all you need. They open the gate daily at 7am. There was barely a signal (At&t) and no internet connection near campsite 41. Traffic in morning leaving to Marietta was pretty bad. But still love this place and we'd like to go back and try a different spot, closer to the lake.

Site 48 is great. Close to the beach area, lots of shade, and easy in and out for a smaller camper.
