My husband and I have stayed here several times. It is our go-to place when we visit his parents who live close by. We’ve been with just the two of us as well as with our three kids (11, 7, and 6) and each stay has been wonderful! The home is beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious. It feels very secluded due to the surrounding trees and the beautiful gardens. And Tom and Vickie are awesome hosts! We will come back again and again!

This place is right next to the south exit of Indiana Beach amusement park. The original part of the house was built in 1887 and Tom and Vickie added on to it, creating a matching period inn and quarters. The rooms are clean and spacious with nicely accented pieces of useful furniture. The host, Tom and Vickie, are personable and delightful individuals. The night before we left, they set up a fire and prepared s’more’s for our family of three boys to enjoy. You cannot go wrong here!

The whole Inn feels warm and inviting. The hosts are very welcoming. Guest rooms are kept clean and in great condition with very nice bathrooms. Breakfast in the lovely pine dining area was wonderful with freshly brewed coffee and fresh fruits. We felt relaxed and refreshed after our stay. Black Dog Inn made for a memorable family weekend within walking distance to Indiana Beach!

My family has gone to Indiana Beach the last 42 years, and I always stay at the Black Dog Inn. It is an extremely short walk to the Midway. The rooms are very nice, and have all the comforts of home. The porch deck is huge, and a great place to sit and just hang out. The grounds are beautiful, and lovingly maintained. The free homemade breakfast is a feather in their cap. The warm raisin bread is just out of the oven. I will always come back to stay here.

I loved the Black Dog Inn. It is very close to Indiana Beach but is a very cozy and quaint family ran bed and breakfast. The owners live in the house and yes there is a tBlack Dog that is their family pet. The rooms were very large and decorated beautifully. The bathroom in our room was very updated and wonderful. The owners offer a hot, cooked breakfast each morning for their guests. Its like being in your home away from home. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anybody staying near Indiana Beach.

A great bed and breakfast (they are not currently doing breakfast because of last year's mess) GREAT hosts and enjoyable to talk with. My girlfriend and myself happened to be the only 2 there for a Thursday night stay. The room was clean and had its own bathroom and shower ?. There is a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker downstairs. This BnB is right next to the south entrance parking lot for Indiana Beach. There's a bar across the street that has really good pizza ?. If you're going with family and or friends then you will want to stay here.

If I could give this B&B more than 5 stars I would. The owners of this quaint establishment make you feel right at home. We took a mini vacation with our two sons and could not have had a better experience. The kindness of our hosts is unparalleled. The grounds are adorned with beautiful flowers and mature trees. The inside is very nicely decorated and very very clean. Great water pressure and comfy beds made it easy to settle in after a day at the park or exploring the town. The delicious homemade breakfasts helped start our mornings off on the right foot. I can't do this fantastic home away from home justice by words alone, you should definitely check it out yourself! Thank you Tom and Vicki, for becoming a part of one of our family's greatest memories.

I can't say enough about this beautiful 1887 historic home & bed and breakfast! The Black Dog Inn was beyond our expectations. We stayed in room #4 (Jake's Room) with a king size bed and private attached bathroom. The room was very spacious, there was a table, couch, love seat, TV, all the amenities to make it feel like home! The bathroom and room were both very clean and well kept. We also made use of the common area, where there was a microwave and fridge. The owners were great hosts, Tom, Vicki, and of course, the black dog, Bo! They made it seem like the place was ours, they gave us plenty of space and welcomed us into their home. Bo (the black dog) was extremely friendly and loving. We didn't have to worry about him bothering us at all. The breakfast in the morning included hot coffee, homemade cinnamon bread, scrambled eggs, fruit, and cereal. Vicki and Tom were more than accommodating. The house is an amazing place to relax, unwind, and indulge in some beautiful history. I would recommend this over any hotel in Monticello. I know my family and I can't wait for our next visit!
