I thought it was very nice and clean! There are a lot of camp sites to choose from. I only saw one broken picnic table. Barley any trash. Recently mowed and looks well maintained. I used a day pass to check out.

I love it out here I can lock gate behind me and go for a long hike and bike all the way around the swamp it's so peaceful and take a lot of pictures it's a very good trail with gates you can go through yes I will be back time and time again have a nice day yes on to a nother trail.

Free as long as you register online highly recommended to stay here extremely peaceful and quiet lots of Wildlife a very remote you could drive through 2 miles of cowpasture until you get to a dead end at the campground there is also a natural Spring Pond here so you can fish or swim or shower

This is a fun little hidden gem, get the bikes out and fishing poles, go have an adventure with your family.

Decent spot for free camping. Fairly quiet and 3 bars of Tmobile. Do not trust Google Maps guidance and access from Gate 1 at 27.161840,-80.440530. Lock can be hard to open, mess with it as long as needed. Campsite is 2.5 miles from the road and there are free roaming cows on the trail.
Saw a bunch of birds and a possum. Plenty of mosquitoes during the summer.
This is accessible for a van.

The road is not clearly marked but there are two horse crossing signs on Highway 714. Turn to the north here and you will see a sign set back from the main road. There were 4 locks on the chain to the gate so I had to find the correct padlock and dial in the code. Once in I spotted free roaming cows! That was a surprise. Follow the gravel/shell road 2.5 to 3 miles and it dead ends at the campsite. You must park your car and walk through a gate to get to the tent sites. Older fire pits with grates are scattered about and some tables are there. There is a shooting range nearby and gunfire can be heard during the day. It is a pretty spot

Not the best campsite, the people that were camping near us were pretty creepy, I wouldn’t recommend this place maybe duffous or bear island but not here, it looks great but after a day or so you start to notice that something up with the place, you could feel like someone was watching you or maybe that was just me and my mom but whatever, the lake here is very bad for your dog, if you bring your dog.... You MUST keep it away from the lake they could die, when i was there was a part of a palm tree nailed to the tree... it look like some type of voodoo or something? Anyway the only good thing was that we all had a great sleep! Just keep watch of where you go that’s it! Buy-bye!!!☺️☺️☺️
