I would give this negative stars if it were possible. Narrow roads and tight curves getting in. Woman at desk was nice enough in person, but there was clearly a reason for that. We were given a site way too small for our rig and came dangerously close to bottoming out a couple of times. Sites are not level. The guy that took us up to our site threw our fire pit off our site when we got there. Picnic table was on a steep hillside and had nowhere level to sit. We ended up setting our chairs on a level spot that was only five feet from our RV but was apparently on another site since they decided to charge my card for the full amount of another night. I was not informed of it until I saw the extra charge on my account and called about it. They refused to refund it even though they said it was ok that my chairs ( all two of them that could've easily been moved) were there. They refused to let me speak to the owner and after multiple tries leaving messages I got no return call. I even had to call from a different number to get them to answer a second time. We will NEVER stay there again, and will be very reluctant to stay at another KOA at all. There were several other reasons I could include in this review, but you've been warned. DON'T STAY HERE! I have no idea how they've managed to get any good reviews at all. We've never had any problems with KOA or any other campground until this place.

A small and beautiful campground. We were there off-season, so not much going on eventwise but very peaceful. Nice walking! Staff was nice and helpful. We would go back.

Nice clean campground. The staff were great, pool was super clean. We have a 43' camper, the site could have been more level but was plenty big enough. The only issue we had was getting to the park, small back road with limbs hanging low. I would recommend this campground but be cautious getting there.

Arrived early (11:00am), check-in isn’t until 2:00pm. The staff wouldn’t let us use the property while waiting, claiming it was a liability concern. Ridiculous. I’ve been to this location a couple of times now and stayed at the tent sites by the creek. This is more of a party campground, not the greatest for young families. Quiet hours don’t start until 11pm, and you will often see large groups playing loud music and drinking. A fun place if you’re not with your young kids.

We live nearby and wanted to not waste another " on-call" weekend, so booked here, less than 15 minutes from our home. Blown away at the setting, service and site. We had a site with hook up steps from the brandywine river so watched canoe and kayak groups paddle by while across the river, horses grazed. Camp was quiet and apparently the fishing is good, as kids stood along the banks with small rods It was the picture of peace. Amenities were many with a lovely pool and well stocked store, and friendly staff. Such a great find!

We love the grounds but the staff refuses to deal with problem campers. We came last year and had a campsite with too many campers next to us. They carried on all night until they got into a fist fight I personally had to break up. We chalked it up to a one off occurrence. Came back this year and they have 50 people next to us blaring music on a PA system for two days straight. We complained to the staff and they did nothing. Eventually we had to talk to the people ourselves which didn’t turn out well. It’s a shame. It’s a beautiful campground but to many trashy people ruined it.

The Campground was very nice and well kept. The town is small and since the roads in the town are so narrow, our RV couldn't go through without hitting low hanging branches... (RV is 12 feet tall) Otherwise it was a very nice stay even though we lost power during to tropical storm. The guy that came to our RV seemed annoyed we didn't know the power was back on. (How would we?)

Let me first say that the campground was very nice and the staff were incredible. Getting to it via any of the roads available was an absolute nightmare in our diesel pusher. We generally use KOAs when we're unfamiliar with the area as they are generally very easy to get to; I completely blame myself for not doing more legwork investigating how much of a horror show getting to the campground would truly be. -So much so, that rather than spending time relaxing the day before the trip home, I chose to drive 50+ miles down each of the available roads in my TOAD trying to plan my exit and ultimately drove our rig 40 extra miles out of my way, to avoid the Embreeville Rd as much as possible and instead used the 162 to 82 to 30 Business West route to avoid as many low-hanging branches and narrow roads as possible. Once in the campground, there are lots of hills and more low-hanging tree limbs to watch out for, but otherwise there are lots of amenities and courteous staff. If you're in a bigger rig, I would definitely do your research on getting here, but smaller MH or Trailers will love this place.
