I have to be honest, I knew little of this hotel before we visited this summer so all our experiences were completely unbiased. I can say it ranks up there as one of the top hotels we have stayed at for so many reasons. The minute you arrive you feel a sense of zen. All the worries melt away. The grounds are beautiful with quaint walking paths into the forest where you will find a sauna and hot pools. The rooms are modern and simple but luxurious at the same time. The main pool is the piece de resistance- a view that emanates a little slice of heaven. ||The food is outstanding, fresh and healthy with wonderful options. Every afternoon they offer a complimentary spread of amazing homemade cakes and pieces. Yum yum !!|The staff throughout the resort treat you like family . From the front desk team, to the servers and even the cleaning , everyone works hard to make sure you are happy and relaxed. Both Magda’s are amazing at their jobs and made us feel so welcome and well cared for .|There literally isn’t one negative about this hotel. We were so sad when our three days ended and have vowed to come back soon. This experience is hard to beat!

Beautiful! Our room overlooked the valley below.. you're really high up so the views are off the charts, especially at night. It started snowing one night and my wife cried because it was so beautiful! :). The views here are next level.||||The breakfasts were great, the service was fantastic. There is a free shuttle to the nearby Merano ski area. It's not a huge ski area but we loved the terrain (intermediate) and the hütte were so charming!! Nothing better than some bombardinos at a gorgeous mountain hut.||||There's a sauna and cold plunge which were great. And a larger Japanese "onsen" style hot pool which was really nice, especially at night under the stars. We'd love to see it in the summer too!

Miramonti has that rare quality in the staff where every single person you interact with feels like they care as much as the owner. Upon arrival there was an issue with our room, and Margit, the lead person on the front desk, literally wouldn’t rest until she had shown us the alternative options and ensured we were happy. Issues will inevitably happen in any hotel: it’s how you deal with them that counts, and Margit excelled. We ended up in the greatest hotel room we have ever stayed in, located in a new Monti annex building which was a short (and lovely) forest walk away - they would also drop and collect us at a moment’s notice in a fancy electric vehicle.

I always think the hallmark of a strong team is that everyone demonstrably feels that, whilst they have a specific role to fulfil, nothing is ‘someone else’s problem’. We had daily examples of that: we asked if we could sit in the bar for a casual lunch; instead of just saying yes then we were led into the space and presented with the various options. Settling for a sofa, Margit lit the fire for us and brought someone to take our order. Another: after dinner we asked Kiryl to call for the shuttle back to our room as we were feeling lazy! He quickly checked with his team that there was capacity and then just took us over himself. There is a clear and constant commitment to making sure guests are totally looked after that runs like a red thread through all experiences, and guests really notice it.

The food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread. We tried all three restaurant dinner options and felt the main one was actually the best balance of quality and formality - for us at least. Again, the waiting staff were uniformly brilliant, from Brana, Kiryl and Stefan to the apprentice Olis. They always remembered our preferences from day to day, really cared that we had the table we wanted and gave good recommendations. The wine tasting with Klaus was also very interesting, both to learn more about the vision behind the hotel and also the special wines from the immediate surrounding area that realistically you will never find elsewhere.

The spa is great, with a particularly good steam room, plus Gerhardt’s special massage was very good. The infinity pool is a visual treat, even when there’s not much of a view due to the weather! The onsen pool is very special too.

Our favourite thing was actually the forest bathing with Monika - it’s a stunning and interesting forest with a dense mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, and she is a real expert in the details that make this area such a natural delight. We even saw salamanders clambering around in the undergrowth. Even if you think it’s ’not your thing’ I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

As expected given the rest of what I’ve written, any areas of feedback are extremely minor: I think it would help to communicate to guests that the wine tasting starts with a tour of the new facilities and Klaus’ explanation of their philosophy. It was very interesting - but I could sense a few of the guests wondering where the wine was! The wine tasting was then excellent and generous; I just think a clear itinerary would help everyone relax knowing what was to come. And Heidi’s Pilates class was great but pretty tough! We felt great afterwards, but all of us in the class were beginners so maybe a gentler version of the session might be helpful? Both tiny things, that I only mention because I know Klaus and Carmen will want to improve anything they can - even tiny things.

Overall, I don’t think we’ve ever left a hotel remembering so many of the names of the staff - and I think that says it all. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

From the moment we were welcomed with their house-made apple cider & gin, we knew Miramonti was going to be somewhere truly special. ✨

We loved Miramonti’s deep commitment to sustainability. You can feel it woven into every choice, from the design to the amenities to the dining philosophy.

Dining at The Stube was unforgettable. The Käsefondue im Laib (the authentic cheese wheel fondue) and the Rindertatar am Tisch zubereitet (table-side beef tartare) were absolute standouts and such a unique experience.

Our Panorama Dinner was equally magical. The views speak for themselves, but the service made it even better. The sommelier guided us through local South Tyrolean wines and helped us discover new favorites that paired perfectly with each course.

The SPA was unbeatable from the thoughtfully curated scents to the high-quality products, and every detail was intentional and elevated the entire experience.

One of the absolute highlights of our stay was forest bathing with Monika. It was grounding, peaceful, and something we will carry with us for a long time.

And truly, every single member of the staff we encountered was warm, welcoming, and made us feel cared for in the most genuine way.

Miramonti will always have a special place in our hearts. Already dreaming of the day we can return. 🌲💛

Can't say enough fantastic things about the hotel and the staff. Top-notch service and experience throughout our stay. The setting is out-of-this world and the service exemplary from start to finish, from Marius at the front desk helping with our itinerary to Martina and team in the dining room to the housekeeping and valet staff who were so attentive to anything we needed during our stay. The spa facilities are world-class and such a treat after days exploring. All of our meals in the various dining spaces were delicious. Thank you all for helping us make life-long memories.

We stayed two nights in the Sky House. It was a lovely and well appointed room. The fireplace with the sweeping views was just wonderful. The outdoor space with the heaters was fantastic as well. The hotel itself it beautiful with sweeping views. Breakfast is extensive and service attentive. Most staff were very accommodating.

It was very pricy but worth the splurge.

I have mixed feelings about Miramonti Hotel. We first traveled to another 5-Star hotel in Brixen and were completely dazzled by that experience.

Upon arrival in Merano, we were hoping for an equally pleasant experience at Miramonti. We were greeted with a welcome drink, our luggage was taken to our room, and our car was parked for us. Off to a great start, especially after having some Christmas biscuits while we sipped our welcome drink.

Here’s all the positives: the staff was warm and helpful. The views are simply stunning. We booked a 3rd floor guest room which came with a seat at the Panoramic Restaurant for both breakfast and lunch.

I was disappointed by the fact the hotel had turndown service on request in the name of sustainability. It might seem like a first world problem - which it is - but I book 5-Star hotels and pay the price expecting a certain standard of service. I don’t want to call down to the front desk every evening to ask for turn down service!

Another annoyance was the expectation for me to park my car each time I returned to the hotel. I appreciated the dedicated parking spot that came with my 3rd floor guest room- but I would prefer not to hassle with gates and tight parking spaces. To add insult to injury, on one occasion I couldn’t enter the garage area because a car was being washed infront of the entrance gate. So we left the car by the front entrance and handed the keys to the front desk staff. Great, I thought! Until the next day, when I went down to my dedicated parking spot to not find my car there. After a quick scare, I started walking around and found my gasoline powered car pulled into an electric charging station and blocked by another vehicle behind it. Argh!!!

The room was appointed with a water carafe for guests to fill up on their own at the 5 water fountains on the property. Again, it would have been nice to have these filled up for us as a gesture when the room was serviced.

Now, I’m onto my next 5-Star hotel in Verona. I just came back from dinner to find bed slippers next to my bed, a few tasty chocolate truffles with a soothing eye mask and linen spray to help me relax before bed. The housekeeper stocked us with 2 bottles of water at each side of the bed. It’s a small gesture, but certainly what makes me want to come back and stay at this hotel next time I’m here.

All in all, some pretty minor complaints from me, but not the level of hospitality I would expect from a 5-Star hotel. The spa and food was excellent, as was the cleanliness and esthetic of the hotel.
