I'm a repeat visitor to Old Cedar for many reasons. It's a quick getaway from where I live first. But most importantly, I'm comfortable there. It's not huge, commercial and overwhelming. The folks that run the place go over and above, are friendly, helpful and treat you like family. There's several options depending on what you want to experience and walking the grounds offfers great views and friendly guests. My last weekend there was peaceful and exactly what I needed. Very pet friendly and there are plenty of doggo friends and puppers. Thanks to the staff for another appreciated stay.

We only stayed one night and enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly. They accommodated my late arrival and Liz even came over to check on us when we arrived. Definitely will stay here next time we're in the area.

I agree with other comments about some of the staff in office not to friendly. But overall great campground, clean, and nice sites. The owner is a very nice man and very accommodating. Booked 2 months so far this year so I am happy with this place.

I was originally a bit apprehensive reading some of the reviews especially in regards to the rules. We had no problems once we were there and had an overall pleasant experience with staff. We had a few people come and go during our trip and they only charged us they days they were there and made sure they had a place to park. The fishing pond provided a good source of entertainment and we were able to catch a good amount of fish. Sites were a bit small but we felt we had plenty of room while sitting around our fire at night.

The only thing I can suggest to staff is that the pool entrance/exit doesn't really make sense. We weren't able to understand why you were only supposed to exit from the one side, the side that is further away from the campground. Also a sign pointing to the sign-in sheet would be nice. We didn't know you had to sign in at first luckily the pool monitor was nice enough to sign us in so we didn't have to get out of the pool.

The min golf course is for sure out dated but it's a free amenity so really no complaints there either. Overall we had a good time and will likely be back.

Staff was friendly; just be prepared for semi/weekend and very permanent residents scattered throughout. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but not common where we live so giving a heads up. Quietest campground!Pool was well kept. Putting area is really old, but fun. We loved the pasture with cows! Also, know you might have a water hookup on the opposite side of your site.

This was a great campground close to home for a weekend trip with the grandkids(ages 6-12). They were asking to stay longer. Lots to keep them busy…pool, fishing, mini golf, tennis, basketball and kids axe throwing hosted by the activity director! Staff was friendly. Bath House was clean. Grandkids want to go back again. Great bang for the buck. Cabin was small, but was perfect for a short trip. Cabin was very clean.

I don’t normally leave reviews but my family and I were verbally attacked last night at this campground. I was sitting down eating dinner with my toddler when this man (supposedly the owner) gets out of a white truck and walks up to our site. At first I thought nothing of it until he threw a poop bag at me and it landed right in front of our picnic table. I questionably said “Can I help you?” The man immediately started yelling at me, accusing me of breaking the tree behind me and when I tried to explain it was broken upon arrival he cut me off and continued yelling profanities at me while aggressively getting closer and closer. I put my hands out in front of me and said “Who are you? Stop yelling at me! If you want to have a conversation that’s fine but you are being way way too aggressive right now! Back up!” He then said “ I don’t f*n like your tone I’m the OWNER GO GET YOUR MOM OR DAD” so I said “ I’m part owner and NOT a child but do you normally just yell at children?” He then told me to get my husband or whoever was the other owner. Once my partner got there things escalated even more and the owner said he wasn’t kicking us out but we are never allowed to come back and he doesn’t care how long we’ve been customers or who we have referred it means sh*t to him! We then said how unprofessional, uncomfortable and unnecessary this whole interaction was! We then informed him we were leaving immediately. He then got into his truck and sped away which to my knowledge there’s a 5mph speed limit so he could have hit someone!|||| My SIL and MIL then went down to the store to vouch for us that the tree was already broken and the nice manager at the store said they were aware of it being previously damaged. The maintenance man even said the owner knew the tree was broken The owner then came into the store and proceeded to be verbally aggressive with my SIL and he eventually stormed out/drove away. ||||I can’t even wrap my brain around how this has happened. We have loved previously coming to this campground and now that is completely ruined. I know the campground commented on my partners Google review apologizing and that is very appreciated but hopefully the owner will change his ways or I don’t see a future for this campground. Word of mouth, referrals, and repeat customers are what keeps a business alive, it’s a shame the owner does not value that. To be accused of something we didn’t even do, and to be attacked in the way we were was so beyond unacceptable. Stay away!
