Luck of the room I guess. We very recently stayed here. Hotel is nice and in a great location. The wifi in our room didn’t work, the TV in our room didn’t work, and when we tried to take a shower, the shower head sprayed over the curtain onto the floor causing a mess in the bathroom. It rendered the shower useless.

The staff were nice enough, but no other rooms were available for us to switch to. None of these things individually would have been that big of a deal to me but to have all three happen when you pay 400$ for a night seems pretty ridiculous.

We talked to the staff, they weren’t able to help and we asked the manager to contact us and they didn’t even bother, apparently too busy. Pretty lame.

I enjoyed this hotel, my room was small but was nicely decorated and I had a bit of a view of the ocean. Price was good and the hostess was nice and accommodating. They serve a minimal breakfast but greatly appreciated. The location is not far and walking distance to everything. The only downsides are lots of stairs and one night my shower was not real hot, not horrible on either account and I definitely would stay here again.

This place is a great value and good location, however, as is the case with many hotels in this price range, it has issues. The furniture is well worn- scuffed and scratched. The bed skirts are dirty, the curtain rod falling off the wall on one side, the sink makes a loud noise when the cold tap is on. My duvet cover had some mystery stains? They appeared dark like water droplets but were not wet. The room smelled strongly of mildew. There are also a few discrepancies- website lists checkout at noon. It is at 11. The policies signed upon check-in describe the breakfast as having pastry, danish. It does not. It has coffee, tea, granola bar, and oatmeal packets. That’s it. Anyways I went elsewhere for breakfast. It’s a fine place if you have very modest expectations.

Positive: The ability to store luggage in a storage closet for a few hours Negative: No shampoo or conditioner or body wash as promised. Dirty towels and blankets, weird smell from the bathroom, drain in shower didn't work well at all, mini-fridge was blocked by the bed so it was nearly impossible to open it, scratched chairs & bedframe.

Positive: The plants and the location Negative: No elevator! I didn?t think to check. Thankfully, we were on the 2nd floor. The continental breakfast wasn?t very good - pancakes were good, but no hot chocolate. Only other food was a crunchy granola bar & instant oatmeal.

I liked the location the most because it was about a 5-10 minute walk from the main street so far enough not to be in the middle of all the activities but close enough to not need a golf cart. The room is kind of small but as expected when you are near the beach. We stayed for 2 nights so our room wasn't serviced. I am accustomed for room service to at least make your bed and bring fresh towels on a daily basis but you probably have to request it at this hotel. The continental breakfast consists of granola bars, cookies and coffee. They had a pancake machine but it wasn't working. I would have liked some fruit at least.

I enjoyed my stay at this fine hotel. The clean room's with a nice decorative flare. Near all the shops. Great price!

Lovely place to stay in Avalon. Beautiful open interior. Room was tight with two double beds, and blinds had to be closed bc view was passageway, but even semi affordable accommodation in Avalon is tight. There was a nice shared balcony space to get a breather outside. Everything was very clean. Best was the staff, who could not have been nicer. Breakfast is only hot water and oatmeal and granola bars and coffee pods, but better to go out in Avalon anyway. Would have been nice to have tea bags. Greatly appreciated free bag storage on checkout. Location is excellent, just couple blocks up from main drag, before road gets steep.
