the very old house has an original charm, has been lovingly renovated and all rooms are cozy and equipped in a special way. The location is very good as a base for exploring and relatively quiet, considering that you are in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Frenchman Street in a very short distance. We had the Mardi Gras Suite, which is probably the quietest room in the house (facing away from the street), but you have to keep in mind that some of the rooms can only be reached by a fairly steep staircase. So it's best to ask which rooms are on the ground floor. Karen is a loving person and you immediately feel welcome and in good hands with her. She also likes to make a desired breakfast and sit for a nice conversation. In any case, it can be called an extremely positive experience to have been a guest here.

Karen is a fantastic, personable, and attentive host who gives special attention to her guest. It felt more like family visit. She is extremely responsive if you need anything. My husband and I were there for my 56 th birthday although we had to push our plans back Karen was still responsive and accommodating. Great Victorian home with beautiful layout, high ceilings, comfortable sleeping quarters despite it not really being a suite. Everything you need and CLEAN. Although in the process of renovating we had no issues at all, no noise, beautiful and helpful friends/associates. Thank you Emily?! Beds high and comfortable we slept so well and plenty of towels and other essentials you would get at a hotel however, Karen’s personal touches makes this bed and breakfast the spot to be (and we will be back ?). Extremely good location to everything including Frenchmen loved it. Park across the street hosted a stop the violence event that I participated in with the kids while I waited for my phone to charge in the room. So accessible. All the rooms are nicely decorated and included all we needed and more. Must stay to experience for yourself. It will definitely be our #1 place to stay. We had a ball!! Thank you again Karen for treating us like family. You are awesome ma’am! Again we will be back ?.

We had a lovely stay at this authentic home. Karen was an informative, engaging host. This was our second time here. The location is ideal for anyone who enjoys easy access to the best music in New Orleans. The house is just far enough away to avoid the sound of the music when you don't want to hear it. We'll be back!

Perfect stay! Ideal location right near Frenchmen Street, but quiet enough that if you're tired, you can get a great night's sleep. Karen was so kind, helpful, and welcoming. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone, and would definitely stay there again if I go back to NOLA.

It was a wonderful experience staying at the R&B Bed and Breakfast. Karen was a fantastic host! She is very knowledgeable of the area and helpful with local sites and navigating around town. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and uniquely decorated with fun themes. Snacks and a light breakfast was provided and the location was convenient for everything we wanted to do and see in New Orleans. I highly recommend staying at R&B bed and breakfast!

Great property, great people, great location!|The house is beautifully presented and Karen was a wonderful host, treating us like we were family.|Loved the lamps and the decor in the room. Probably the biggest bed I've ever slept in too!|Frenchmen St has a great "Big Easy" feel to it - music, food and good times in a more dignified atmosphere than much of Bourbon Street only a few blocks away.

This was our second 4 night stay at R&B Bed and Breakfast in two years and this time we brought some friends. Let me tell you why...Adrenalized Ambiance! House was built in 1865 and except for modern conveniences you could believe you were living in that year. Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms with bath. Karen, the hostess, presides over the perfect over-abundance of breakfast and coffee that remains available for snacking around the clock. Perfect location on Frenchman's St. Walk in minutes to the heart of the French Quarter, wonderful music and dining on the same street as your lodging, and free street parking if you keep your eyes open. I can't imagine staying anywhere else for that Big Easy 'tude.'
